How it all started…

Ecohome Insulation began as a spray foam insulation company when we were rental property owners faced with freezing pipes, hard-to-heat drafty homes, high heating bills and frustrated tenants. We were using traditional insulation with high energy ratings. What was wrong? We researched insulation products in North America for over two years, and our decision became clear: Spray foam insulation is the best insulation on the planet, for the planet!

With our focus on eco-friendly and energy-efficient insulation, we work as specialists for new construction and renovations within the residential and commercial building industry. Ecohome works closely with Cape Breton home and business owners, architects and building inspectors.

Ecohome Solutions Passes Our Savings to You!

Ecohome introduced spray foam insulation to Cape Breton in 2008. We were part of a franchise dealer network then, but for relief from rising franchise costs, we became independent insulation contractors in 2009. As a locally-owned, independent company, Ecohome keeps our costs lower, and we pass our savings to you – the customer.

    Ecohome Insulation is an involved member of the local Cape Breton community and the larger Canadian community too.

  • Kids Racing Against Drugs

    Ecohome Insulation created our local Racing Against Drugs, a community-based drug awareness program that uses the sport of racing to engage our youth and direct their energy to exciting activities that also deliver a positive message.

    Ecohome Insulation works with the RCMP as a community and corporate partner to promote healthy and drug-free lifestyles in our community. The Kids Racing Against Drugs event combines fun with a strong anti-drug message.

  • Canadian Cancer Society

    Ecohome Insulation works each October for breast cancer research by donating 10 cents per square foot of sprayed insulation installed in that month to the Canadian Cancer Society. We proudly presented the Sydney Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society with $1,136.90 in 2011 and $1,433 in 2012.
